Merissa Haddad Physical Therapist Merissa graduated in 2001 from the University of Hartford, West Hartford, Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Prior to becoming part of the BIG FUN staff, Merissa worked in a variety of clinical settings as a physical therapist. Her extensive experience includes the launching of a rehabilitation program in a nursing home and serving as primary therapist for the Structured Pain Program at the Pasadena Rehabilitation Institute, where she helped patients cope with chronic pain through land-based and aquatic therapy, biofeedback, yoga, and nutrition. She also has taken two continuing education courses in craniosacral therapy at the Upledger Institute. Merissa became one of the first physical therapists to join BIG FUN’s Therapy Services division when she was hired in November 2004. Since then, she has worked hard to bring her clinical skills and experience to the gymnastics floor and has been part of the continuing efforts to improve and grow BIG FUN’s therapy branch.
