 Jamie Hoffman Recreational Swim Instructor Jamie graduated in 2003 from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee with master’s degrees in education and recreation administration. She is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, with an extensive background in life guarding, aquatics instruction, adaptive recreation services, and coordinating aquatics programming. Along with her work at BIG FUN, Jamie currently serves as the Aquatics Coordinator at the University of California, Los Angeles where she is responsible for five swimming pools and 75 staff members as well as programming and implementation of policies and procedures. She has also been a volunteer for the Special Olympics for over five years and is a staff ski instructor at the United States Adaptive Recreation Center in Big Bear, California. Jamie joined the BIG FUN swim program in July 2005, bringing with her a wealth of experience and knowledge of providing adaptive recreational services to individuals with developmental disabilities. She is an asset to the children she works with in the water as well as to her fellow staff members. Close Window |
